السلام عليكم طفلتي عمرها ٩ اشهر يوجد على رأسها منذ الولادة انتفاخ طري تم تشخيصه بصورة رنين مغناطيسي بأنها قيلة سحائية علما بأن الطفلة لم تعاني من أي أعراض بسببها..... سؤالي: هل تعتبر خطيرة وهل لو تم عمل عملية للطفلة هل يوجد خطر عليها لا قدر الله ؟؟
Brain MRI with contrast.
Clinical data:
- This is a 5 months-old female patient who presented with occipital encephalocele since birth.
Findings:
- There is a small bony defect seen in the posterio-central aspect of the parietal bone, slightly to the left, measuring about 2.6 mm in diameter, which a thin layer of enhancing dura seen herniated though, to a CSF-filled outpouching measuring about 1.6 x 0.6 cm. No brain herniation through the defect is noted. There is a small area of superior sagittal fenestration seen underlying the aforementioned defect. Overall findings are representing meningocele.
- Myelination is appropriate for the patient's age. - Both thalami, both basal ganglia, corpus callosum, brainstem, and cerebellum appear normal.
- No focal brain lesions.
- No enhancing lesions seen.
- Prominent subarachnoid spaces seen in the bi-frontal and bi-temporal regions.
The ventricular system appears normal.
Central midline structures with no mass effect.
No haemorrhage or collection seen.
- The paranasal sinuses appear normal.
